Templeton Hall

Templeton Community Hall is wholly owned by Templeton Community Council and is managed by Templeton Community Hall Trust. Our aim is to make it a place that is used by as much of the community as possible, in a wide variety of ways. The Hall is protected by an alarm system and also uses CCTV.

The recent extension and renovation has provided two large rooms that can be hired individually or together, which are fully accessible for users of wheelchairs or pushchairs. We have modern heating and lighting installed, all new windows and doors, a suspended ceiling, and a large airy kitchen with its own access out onto a small patio area. The toilet provision has been totally revamped, so there are now disabled toilet facilities at both the south and north ends of the building. To the south there are patio doors leading directly from one hireable room onto a patio and then directly onto the Village Green (owned by Templeton Community Council), thus giving a superb space for summer events.

The sprung floor remains in the original room, making it perfect for sporting or exercise classes. The extension to the north includes a new room almost as large as the original one for people to use, and also a separate utility room with a kettle and microwave available. Between the two rooms is a soundproof movable wall, so there can be two independent groups of up to approximately 80 using the Hall at once, both with their own basic refreshment facilities, or the wall can be moved back to the sides and the combined space can comfortably manage up to 180 people.

The kitchen has been totally rejuvenated with new units, work surfaces, and a smart easy clean floor which continues into the utility room and the corridors to the toilets. The utility room and kitchen provide basic tea/coffee making facilities for those hiring either room.

Furniture available for use includes comfortable conference chairs and modern fold-up tables. We are also able to provide some tables and chairs for outside use if your event extends to the Village Green. Both an internal bar (the Hall is licensed) and a large external gazebo can be made available - contact us should you wish to use either of these.

Parking can sometimes be an issue, but the Council provide specific parking for Hall users. To the north of the Hall is a fenced in parking area for Hall users. There is also some additional parking specifically for Hall users slightly further in to Knights Court, alongside the top area of the Village Green. Lastly there is the parking opposite the Hall, adjacent to the Play Park.

You can find more information that you can download, including the current charges, on this page. You will be sent a hiring guide giving you additional information on the use of the alarm system etc. once you have made your booking. You can find what is currently going on in the Hall on the booking calendar page on this site.
